October is Breast Cancer awareness month ( I hope you knew that)

Cancer in any form sucks but this month in particular we fight for the boobies, not because we're pervs but because WLDBD(We Love Di Breast Dem) and we're trying keep them. 1 in 8 women have a chance of contracting Breast Cancer in their life time and 1 in 37 stand the chance of dying from it. Let's help these numbers drop.

Whether you've been personally affected or not, I hope that little tidbit of information was enough to spark your interest to find out more and support the cause.

I'm trying really hard not to lecture and get all in preachy BUT this issue hits home. I've known a few Breast Cancer warriors truly strong women, REAL fighters.

I also have boobs and I need to know what's up with them! You feel me.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO here's what I'm gonna do... right below I'm gonna drop some links for you to read up on Breast Cancer, some facts, things you can do, things to look for all that good stuff.

I know what you're thinking now that you've done some reading. HOW CAN I DONATE TO THE CAUSE OR MAKE PURCHASES IN SUPPORT??? Well the sites you just visited have options for you to donate directly to them or you can make a purchase anywhere that has PINK items that STATE proceeds from your purchase will go to the cause and/or assist in Breast Cancer research.

Need Help? Here are two more links with a list of regular items that you probably get when binge shopping that are in support of Breast Cancer

LINKS: ELLE List

Now that we have that covered.

What do you need to do for yourself?

Feel up your breasts of course.

You know or should know your body best, pay attention to it. Doing a self breast examination is important for you to know if something is wrong. It is suggested that after 18 you do a self exam once a month. Changes like pain, indents and lumps are something you should bring up with your doctor. Early detection is very important.

Remember Cancer doesn't care how old you are, what sex you are or what race you are. You're never to young or too anything to be affected stay alert and take care of yourself.

For my readers located in Antigua and Barbuda (even those of you elsewhere)here are some items you can purchase in support. (click on the pictures to get contact links)

Check out Nakaza clothing for their Breast Cancer awareness apparel

Check out That Guy Images for his Limited edition Breast Cancer Tees

You can also purchase these items from the VC Bird International Airport in support

I'll be doing the Making Strides Breast Cancer walk on 16th October, 2016 in Long Island NY.

You can go on the website to see when the walk is coming to your city or you can find out what other events are happening in your area for the cause.

Till next time. THINK PINK! Feel your boobs it's ok! Remember- ( WLDBD) WE LOVE DI BREAST DEM!

xoox
