👋🏾 If you like music with a positive message. Listen to Chronixx ❤️ If you like reggae music. Listen to Chronixx💛 If you love good music. Listen to Chronixx 💚 Lately I've been trying to live more so I started spending on experiences and memories. As a result I've done some pretty dope stuff and generated genuine joy in my life. (I just checked my bank account and its sad but I'm happy)

Chronixx, legal name Jamar McNaughton is a 24 year old reggae artist out of Jamaica. Famous for songs such as Behind Curtain, Smile Jamaica, Here Comes Trouble and Spanish Town Rockin'. His music is soulful, uplifting and groovy. Chronology (his debut album) was released in July and as a result a tour followed. Basically I love Chronixx so, when I heard he was coming to New York I had to go. I HAD TOOO. I was Out Deh! on March 4th 2017 I went to go get the Chronixx Zinc Fence experience at Irving Plaza.

It was worth every penny.

I was content but I didn't meet him just yet.

Fast forward a few months and I find out he was having a concert in Prospect Park Brooklyn for FREE.

I was hyped, I know nothing about Brooklyn but I was going. Life happened and I didn't make it.

I was bummed to say the least BUT then GOD. While scrolling through Twitter I came across a tweet from his page saying he'd be at an Apple Store.

I registered to attend, waited and then left work early to go see him on Tuesday 11th July.

I believe in the universe and things happening for a reason if I had gone to Prospect Park, I probably would not have came across this opportunity.

The Apple Store had a fairly intimate set up about 100 people if so much.

They did a brief interview which gave me a greater appreciation for him as a person and artist.

Then he performed a few songs off his album Chronology.

Skanin' Sweet, Spanish Town Rockin', Majesty, Smile Jamaica and Black is Beautiful.

It was a joy to watch him in his element. He was also very humble. (Video clips can be found on my Facebook blog page)

After his performance a friend encouraged me to stay to take photos

(despite Apple employees kicking us out 🤣 the store was closed)

I basically became the complete opposite of me (I'm really chatty), got really awkward and barely said two words to him besides " I love your music" I took a few pictures and spoke with some members from Zinc Fence.

They're all really cool and down to earth. Afterwards I was annoyed I forgot what speaking was but it was truly a once in a lifetime experience, a highlight on the reel of my life. If you like Chronixx you should also check out these artists: Autarchii Jesse Royal Kabaka Pyramid Dre Island Kalissa Jah9

He's should be wrapping up touring in Europe and will continue touring in the US from September 7th. Thanks for reading. Xox Chavah Ranks
