KICKING THE NEW YEAR'S BUTT

Here it is the 23rd of January, 2017 and my "New Year's Resolutions" have yet to be determined.

Yea I wanna get healthy.

Yea I wanna take adventures.

Yea I wanna be unapologetically Happy.

Sure, I wanna adult like a pro.

Buuuuut these things aren't brought about by a New Year. I'm writing this on the 23rd of January if this doesn't say "I don't care" I don't know what does.

I'm all about reinvention and finding new things whether it be in yourself or in the world around you but, I feel like you don't need an imaginary clock/calender reset to take that leap.

If you're one of those people that need that; by all means go ahead. I hope your "New Year New You" is going well.

The issue with this magical reset (for me at least) is that there seems to be some rule that if you fall off you just gotta wait till the next go around. Resume all old habits and EFF any progress made, I THINK THAT IS STUPID AF MY GUY.

If it's one thing you learn it IS that falling is apart of life, how you get back up and if you get back up is what matters.

So here's me being fake inspirational.

DON'T GIVE UP!

SOMETIMES YOU OVERSLEEP OR FALL INTO A PAPA JOHN'S ORDER A LARGE MEAT LOVERS. TRIP INTO SOME TALENTI CARIBBEAN COCONUT ICE CREAM AND NOT SO GRACEFULLY SLIP INTO A CHIPOTLE BOWL WITH THE WORKS. BUT ONCE GOD BRINGS YOU THROUGH THAT FOOD COMA THAT'S ANOTHER DAY TO TRY AGAIN. SO TRY AGAIN DAMN IT!

Here is where I share my Last Year's Resolutions with you lovely folk. I kicked a lot of this stuff into gear in 2016.

  1. Develop a Healthy lifestyle. For both health and vanity purposes.

  2. Read more as many books as I can this year. Seriously guys I have a comment section I'd love if you used it and gave me some GOOD/GREAT READS.

  3. Speak my mind more. Say hello to my little friend! This here Blog.

  4. Become more self sufficient and less dependent.

  5. Be more organized and plan ahead.

  6. SAVE.

  7. Take at least 3 trips outside of the two places on earth I call home. Maybe more than 3, I'm up for anything (traveling)let's make plans! lol

  8. Do more things outside my comfort zone.

  9. Be Happier.

  10. Increase my positivity, light, self love and influence on others.

Ways I'm trying to encourage myself?

First I signed up for BlinkFitness (like 2 weeks ago todays my first day. I'm getting up don't judge me) I did the year long commitment so I can't willingly let myself fall off. (if it's one thing I hate parting with it's my coins so umma go)

I have purchased the cutest weekly planner and dry erase bored and I'm definitely using them bad boys. It's also a coloring book which is a great stress relieving activity when you're me (or you)

I'm doing other things but I've been here too long... I'll be posting regularly (I think, it's in the planner)

"If you fail to plan you plan to fail" I've heard soooooooo here I am trying a thing, planning not to fail but to kick 2017's ass.

I'm looking forward to bringing you so much goodness in 2017 and growing with you. Thanks for rocking with me and remember to stick to your guns, I'll be letting you know how great my shot is getting, periodically.

P.S. If 2016 was great for you and all you need to do is maintain do that. The new year just restarts the calendar not your progress; harness your magic.

If you think you had to start on January 1st you didn't , go start now.

Go kick the New Year's Ass!
